External Finishes

Compatible external finishes

Ecobrix woodcrete accepts all standard external finishes. The porous surface of the units provides excellent mechanical key for render systems. Below are the most commonly specified finishes and approved suppliers.

Through Render

Monocouche or multi-coat render systems. The preferred finish for most Ecobrix builds.

Brick & Brick Slip

Traditional brick or lightweight brick slip cladding. Full tie-back system available.

Timber Cladding

Larch, cedar, and composite timber cladding systems on suitable battened framing.

Rain Screen Cladding

Aluminium, zinc, fibre cement and composite rain screen systems. Ideal for commercial.

Living Wall Systems

Green wall and planted facade systems. The thermal mass of Ecobrix complements passive cooling.

Insulated Render (EWI)

External wall insulation systems for projects requiring U-values below 0.12 W/m²K.

Exposed Woodcrete

The natural texture of woodcrete can be left exposed in commercial and agricultural applications.

Lime Render

Traditional lime render systems for heritage-sensitive and vernacular projects.
